ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Blair Installations is committed to the reduction, and where possible, the elimination of pollution levels. As an organisation we will:
- Avoid waste and encourage conservation and / or recycling
- Encourage the sustainable use of land owned resources
- Strive to reduce air, land and water pollution
- Encourage staff to practise good environmental house keeping at home
- To monitor environmental development within our industry and to comply with current relevant environmental legislation
- Promote environmental awareness for our operatives and other persons under our control
As part of our procurement process we will, where practicable and subject to clients' requirements, seek the following objectives:
- To purchase goods and services that can be manufactured, used and disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner
- To purchase items that can be recycled or reused
- To procure from suppliers who show commitment to sustainable environmental improvement
- To offer the client alternative equipment / services that improve on energy efficiency
We seek to reduce our CO2 emissions at source by initiative such as purchasing diesel vehicles.
We also proactively advise our clients on the benefits of using "clean technologies" such as low
energy light bulbs.
Everyone working for Blair Installations is encouraged to play their part so that the aims
of our environmental policy can be met.
