Blair Installations have completed the full Electrical Package to a new £3.9 million Project at Sheffield Park, Bluebell Railway. Substantially funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, this Project provides cover for up to eighteen of the carriages used by the Bluebell in regular service, plus a new Museum, Interpretation Centre & Welfare Facilities, including Refurbishment Works to the Main Platform.
This Project consisted of a new 415v Distribution System to meet the demands of the Electrical Services required throughout the site. A new 250A PanelBoard was installed to serve SubMains and Sub Distribution Equipment, within the Manin Carriage Shed, New Museum, Interpretation Centre and Welfare Facilities.
The Lighting/Emergency Lighting Installation cosisted of: High Bay Lighting & Wall Lighting within the Main Carriage Shed, a network of high level Galvanised Containment and Conduit drops to Accessories, Lighting Control via Contactors, new display lighting within the Museum via track lights & recessed Spot Lights, External Lighting controlled via Timeclock and Photocell's.
General Small Power installed throughout including TP&N Supplies, weatherproof Socket Outlets & Isolators, Floor Boxes, supplies to Mechanical Equipment and Control Wiring.
We also installed and Commissioned the Fire Alarm System and Lightning Protection System.
