Complete Electrical Infrastructure Testing & Distribution Upgrade
Blair Installations have recently completed the successful upgrade of the Red Wing Electrical Infrastructure at Crawley Hospital, including a full Periodic Inspection Report to the complete Red Wing Distribution System. This was carried out prior to commencing with the upgrade ofexisting 415/230v LV Switchgear, Sub Main Cables and Sub Distribution Boards, manufactured by Schneider. All Installation, Remedial & Testing works were carried out whilst the Hospital was in full operation, including working in sensitive areas such as the Operating Theatres, X-Ray & Dialysis Departments. This Project was handed over successfully meeting Practical Completion.
Complete Replacement Fire Alarm System
In October 2014 we completed the full replacement of the existing Red Wing Fire Alarm System at Crawley Hospital. This new System consisted of 3000+ Addressable Devices and more than 50,000 meters of Enhanced Cable and Galvanised Containment. We submitted a Programme of Works to the Client prior to commencement of the project, and the new Fire Alarm System was live and fully Commissioned in time for Practical Commpletion.
Red Wing Distribution Thermography Survey
We have recently carried out a full Electrical Thermography Survey to all Distribution Equipment within the Red Wing, as requested by the Trust. The aim was to highlight possible risk of Fire and to identify any load imbalance within the Electrical System, without having to physically test or dismantle any live equipment. Using our FLIR Thermal Imaging Camera, we were able to identify a large number of ‘hot spots’ which were photographed and issued to the Client as part of our Survey.
